The School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo, invites applications for two tenure-track positions with expertise that combines financial management and sustainability. These tenure-track positions will be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor. The closing date for applications is May 31, 2022. The preferred start date is September 1, 2022.
Preferred candidates will have research expertise and demonstrated teaching excellence in one or more of the following areas: sustainable finance; climate finance; responsible or impact investing; sustainability assurance; integrated ESG measurement, materiality, and reporting; strategic integration of sustainability objectives; climate risk disclosure and valuation; and human capital and social accounting. We are particularly interested in applicants whose teaching and research focuses on social sustainability objectives , such as, social welfare, equitable distribution of benefits and costs, human rights, labour, gender equality, children’s rights, Indigenous rights, environmental justice, human capital measurement and reporting, or diversity and inclusion of marginalized communities. The position will primarily support teaching and research activities in the Sustainability and Financial Management program.
