International Symposium on Renewable Energy, Environment and Climate Change; Fiji

#1

International Symposium on Renewable Energy, Environment and Climate Change
(Measurement, Monitoring and Forecasting) 20-21 August 2019
Tanoa International Hotel, Nadi, Fiji
14 June, 2019 Deadline for submission of abstracts
Energy, Environment and Climate Change are currently areas of great interest due to their relevance to the sustainable development of the region. There are now several organizations and institutions in the region who are actively pursuing issues relevant to one or more of these related areas. New techniques of measurement and data analysis such as modelling and forecasting are emerging that promise to enhance and accelerate our understanding of these issues with the assistance of machine learning and artificial neural networks.
There is a need for a forum where the results of these efforts of energy, environment, climate change and data scientists can be brought together and evaluated for the benefit of the sustainable development goals of the region. The International Symposium on Renewable Energy, Environment and Climate Change (Measurement, Monitoring and Forecasting) will provide a venue for such a forum for scientists, development agencies and policy makers.
Theme and scope
The theme of this two-day symposium will include all areas in energy, environment and climate change that are of relevance to the sustainable development of the region, and in particular
 Renewable energy and climate change mitigation (including estimating emissions)
 Modelling and forecasting in energy and environment
 Energy efficiency for mitigation and sustainable development
 Climate change adaptation
 Renewable energy capacity building for communities
 Current and potential RE projects
 Environment and energy policy
